Program description

The BA program Society, Media, and Politics (SMP) combines the social sciences required to address our globalized world's fundamental concerns in a digital setting. Sociology, media studies, and political science are taught in a problem-solving and research-oriented, student-centered manner.

Students are empowered to solve significant social issues in their communities by conducting research and engaging in direct activity. At Constructor University SMP Media Center, they learn how to effectively advocate for their ideas via the use of digital media. Learning to utilize podcasts, blogs, animations, and other media provides students with a wide range of opportunities to realize their creative potential and gain the trade skills that are so important in today's labor markets.

Our students are motivated young individuals who want to make a difference in the world. SMP provides a great foundation for graduate courses as well as the European and worldwide employment markets for tomorrow's leaders. Our graduates have established successful careers in start-ups, NGOs, and big corporations, as well as in the world's most prestigious academic institutions. They are most suited for global leadership roles because to their strong talents in creative problem solving, the capacity to judge from a larger viewpoint, and the ability to think beyond the box.

The famous CHE (Center for Higher Education Development) University Ranking has named SMP (previously Integrated Social Studies) as one of the finest study programs in the subject of social and political sciences in Germany.

Six semesters of study totaling 180 ECTS credit points comprise the three-year undergraduate program (CP). The 3C-Model, an innovative and student-centered modularization approach, organizes the discipline material of the three study years according to overarching themes.
