For those who don't meet the prerequisites for a conventional degree programme or who need a little extra academic support when they start their studies, our accounting and finance degree with an extra foundation year is perfect. Even if it has been a while since you last attended classes, this degree has been specifically created to give you a wide range of abilities that will help you reach your higher education goals.
During your foundation year, you will take six course modules covering critical skills that will provide you with the knowledge and self-assurance you need to effectively complete your degree. In the second year, you will gain comprehensive understanding in important business management topics, such as personnel management and an overview of contemporary organizational structures. During the third and fourth years of your degree program, you will study financial and cost accounting, risk management, business transformation, corporate governance, and other topics in addition to learning how to use the essential accounting and finance skills and technologies needed to succeed in today's workplace.

Requirements for applicants
- At least 3 x GCSEs OR 45 credits at Level 2 or equivalent – if your qualifications are older than 3 years we would also ask to see a professional CV.
- Applicants may be considered based on a minimum of 12 months of professional work experience evidenced with a CV and Reference if they do not meet the qualification requirements.
English proficiency
- IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 80; or equivalent
- Alternatively, evidence you have previously studied in English, such as a letter to show that the Medium of Instruction was in English can be accepted.
