Program description

Students who require additional time to prepare for university study can enroll in our BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling with Foundation Year program. This training will get you ready for a career in psychotherapy or IAPT. It's a prerequisite for the British Psychological Society's autonomous route into counselling psychology education, and it lends credence to doctoral applications in the field.

Gaining proficiency at the foundation level prepares you to succeed in your undergraduate studies. Lessons will be given in arithmetic, research, and working together. Two modules covering the fundamentals of psychology and counseling are offered as well. After the first year of study, you will focus on subjects including sociology, psychology, biology, and development. Courses in Counseling Psychology, Basic Counseling Skills, Psychological Health and Wellness, Psychological Evaluation, and Therapeutic Process Management are also available.

The undergraduate counseling program at Arden prepares students for a wide variety of career paths. As you study with cutting-edge digital resources, you'll have access to our expert academic staff of industry professionals, authors, and psychologists with doctorates.
