Program description
Learn to design the surroundings in which we reside and operate. You'll study the creative and technical skills from seasoned experts who offer their firsthand experiences as you get ready to enter the business in a variety of roles. Our alumni go on to work in creative fields such as exhibit design, home or commercial interior design, design for architecture firms, and more.
In a curriculum developed with input from industry experts, you’ll:
- Explore design fundamentals, theory, visual communication, culture, and history
- Work on projects exploring all aspects of design through sketching, drafting, and color composition
- Learn modern computer-aided design using current design industry software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp Pro, Rhino, and rendering with V-Ray
Berkeley College's interior design degree programs emphasize both the artistic and technical facets of this fascinating sector. Graduates are equipped with the practical knowledge and skills needed to enter the sector in a variety of professions. CIDA has accredited the B.F.A. in interior design program (Council for Interior Design Accreditation).
