Program description
BA (Hons) Commercial Modern Music will help you turn your passion for music into a career.
This four-year programme uses deadline-driven project management to improve performance skills and career aspirations.
Live performance is the key to becoming a great musician at BIMM Dublin, so you'll spend a lot of time on stage to develop and establish your identity. You'll learn pop, punk, folk, and funk methods, music theory, and styles. The degree is both academically and musically difficult, balancing theory, practise, and analysis. You'll be part of a creative community of authors, performers, critical thinkers, and music business professionals with whom you can collaborate and network.

Tuition fees
- 15,950 GBP/year
All international students must pay a deposit in order to secure their place on the course they have applied for. Deposit amounts will depend on if you are self-funded or if you have secured financial aid or a loan.
- Self-funded international students: 4,000 GBP
- Funded international students: 1,000 GBP
The deposit amount is deductible from your total fees.
Requirements for applicants
- 6 Leaving Certificate subjects +25s + audition*
- All applicants must attend an audition at which they can earn up to 600 additional points to add to their Leaving Cert points.
*a minimum of 4 O6/H7s are required to meet the minimum entry requirement.
