Program description
Our BA (Hons) Popular Music Performance and Music Business degree develops entrepreneurial abilities. This course is great if you want to self-manage your own band or project, release your own work, and improve your live appearance.
You'll learn performance, technique, musicianship, artist management, releasing music, live music, music publishing, and marketing. These topics provide you the tools to become a successful musician and understand the industry. You'll learn in big live rooms, smaller studios, and lecture-based classrooms.
Our knowledgeable, inspiring, and sought-after professors will guide you. Optional modules let you customise your course. Optional modules include creative performance, session skills, songwriting, technology, composing, arranging, recording, teaching, and research. You'll finish the course with a portfolio that gives you the skills and motivation to succeed in a fast-paced creative industry.

Tuition fees
- 15,950 GBP/year
All international students must pay a deposit in order to secure their place on the course they have applied for. Deposit amounts will depend on if you are self-funded or if you have secured financial aid or a loan.
- Self-funded international students: 4,000 GBP
- Funded international students: 1,000 GBP
The deposit amount is deductible from your total fees.
Requirements for applicants
- Successful completion of a BIMM admissions assessment.
- Minimum of 2 A-levels at Grade C or above (64 UCAS points), OR BTEC Level 3 equivalent, and normally three GCSEs at a minimum grade C/4, including English Language.
- IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 to be achieved in each band.
