Program description
Our BA (Hons) Popular Songs Performance and Music Production is suitable for performing and recording music while strengthening supportive skills. You'll graduate with the tools for a successful music career. You'll depart as a talented, diverse performer with a large portfolio.
You'll learn how to apply performance, technique, musicianship, recording skills, theory, and technology creatively. Optional modules let you customise your education to your artistic and career goals.
You can specialise with our supplementary modules. Creative performance, DAW and stage technologies, session skills, spontaneous music, worldwide music styles, composing, arranging, and complementing instrument skills. By the end of the course, you'll have a portfolio of your chosen performances.
You'll graduate with a variety of abilities to pursue any professional prospects.
Learn in big live rooms, recording studios, smaller studios, lecture-based classrooms, and Mac suites. Our qualified professors will guide you. You'll collaborate with bright students from many areas to achieve your artistic, academic, and professional goals.

Tuition fees
- 15,950 GBP/year
All international students must pay a deposit in order to secure their place on the course they have applied for. Deposit amounts will depend on if you are self-funded or if you have secured financial aid or a loan.
- Self-funded international students: 4,000 GBP
- Funded international students: 1,000 GBP
The deposit amount is deductible from your total fees.
Requirements for applicants
- Successful completion of a BIMM admissions assessment.
- Minimum of 2 A-levels at Grade C or above (64 UCAS points), OR BTEC Level 3 equivalent, and normally three GCSEs at a minimum grade C/4, including English Language.
- IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 to be achieved in each band.
