Program description

The songwriting pathway gives you a thorough understanding of every aspect of song composition by fusing fundamental songwriting techniques with music theory.

Working together is a big part of the course. You will work together with gifted kids who have a wide range of interests and backgrounds. This is more than simply music; it's about envisioning what may happen when many artistic mediums come together.

You'll learn more about many musical traditions and become acquainted with various cultural rhythms, melodies, and compositional structures in our Styles and Genres curriculum. This will motivate you to write songs that appeal to listeners everywhere.

You will develop your songwriting abilities and create a unique creative portfolio. The "Studio Project" module, which aims to expose students to real-world working procedures, will provide guidance on this.

All international students must pay a deposit in order to secure their place on the course they have applied for. Deposit amounts will depend on if you are self-funded or if you have secured financial aid or a loan.

Self-funded international students: 4,000 GBP
Funded international students: 1,000 GBP

The deposit amount is deductible from your total fees.

Requirements for applicants

Successful completion of a BIMM admissions assessment
Minimum of 2 A-levels at Grade E or above (32 UCAS points), OR BTEC Level 3 equivalent, and normally three GCSEs at a minimum grade C/4, including English Language
IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 to be achieved in each band
