Program description
In Cape Breton, one of the most biodiverse locations on the planet, you are inextricably linked to the environment. Discoveries and opportunities abound in this one-of-a-kind ecosystem with untouched elements on land, water, and air.
CBU's environmental studies programme prepares you to thrive in the same real world that you watch and evaluate. The rugged, natural environments that encircle you are ripe for exploration. While every student learns the basic sciences, such as biology, chemistry, and geology, as well as engineering principles with an emphasis on the environment, the individual experience is the most important.
This application allows you to investigate important environmental issues. Participate in the evaluation of air quality, water and soil quality, waste management, sustainable growth, and environmental policy. All the while, you're honing your skills in preparation for your next big move in life. Graduates of this programme have gone on to have successful careers in the technology sector, government consulting, and various public and private companies.
