Program description
One look at island life reveals that CBU is a unique institution dedicated to making the world a better place. Our passion for innovation and collaboration is deeply rooted in our history and will fuel our future.
CBU offers the engineering transfer programme in collaboration with Dalhousie University. CBU is one of the few Associated Universities that offers all six engineering specialties for the first two years. Civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering are among them. The first two years of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering programme are taught at CBU, with the remaining two years taught at Dalhousie University.
The initial year of the program is shared by all six disciplines. At the conclusion of the first year, you must choose a specialty. At this time, applications are submitted to both CBU and Dalhousie for a seat in the desired discipline.
During your second year, you will be enrolled at both CBU and Dalhousie. Complete years three and four at Dalhousie University.
Students can also combine the Engineering Diploma with a BSc in either chemistry or mathematics. This program requires a third year of study at CBU to earn the BSc, followed by two years of study at Dalhousie University to earn the BEng.
