Program description
The inherent challenges of maintaining appropriate health and safety in today's ever-changing workplace are recognised by Cape Breton University. Students will acquire the managerial skills required for effective management of workplace health, safety, and risk across various fields in the Canadian and global contexts with CBU's Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management.
Students will learn how to coach and guide others, as well as how to recognise, assess, and communicate about occupational health, safety, and organisational risk. The diploma also introduces methods for working with various stakeholders, workplace diversity, human rights, and working in an Indigenous setting.
Students who complete the OH&S Management diploma will be prepared for roles in any industry, including the public sector and compliance services, business and insurance project management and construction, safety supervision, the environmental industry, oil and gas, and many others where advanced education in these areas is highly valued and in demand.
