Students in this major learn step-by-step computational approaches for problem solving, including encoding, storing, tracking, and altering information. Computer science encompasses considerably more than simply programming. It is informed by computing device theory and architecture, as well as the tools and methods used in software design and implementation.
The computer science degree at CSU gives students with a comprehensive grounding in the subject while also enabling them to specialize in certain areas. We provide the following concentrations:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Computer Science Education
- Computing for Creatives
- Computing Systems
- Human-Centered Computing
- Networks and Security
- Software Engineering
- General Computer Science
Potential occupations
Our computer science students and graduates are in great demand. Their demonstrated effectiveness draws yearly recruitment visits from business, government organizations, and research institutes. Internships are widely accessible to help students develop their skills and marketability.
