Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT) and Constructor University Bremen jointly provide a Master of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering (MSc CSSE) program that combines a research-driven approach, a strong academic atmosphere, and direct linkages to the corporate sector.
The Master of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering at Constructor University Bremen (JUB) is a research-oriented consecutive master program that combines research-oriented technological education with management and leadership skills to educate future technology leaders in research and industry. To prepare students for roles as technology leaders in research and industry, it offers solid training in Software Engineering development and management, as well as technical core courses in three important areas: Software, Cybersecurity, AI.
These offerings reflect JUB, SIT, and faculty research. Thus, great teaching competency and cutting-edge research and industry experiences are ensured.
JUB and SIT students can seamlessly access one other's programs. Many software engineering courses at JUB will be taught by SIT professionals. This agreement will provide immediate access to real-world applications and the IT employment market via SIT's international network. Jacobs University provides great Career Center and start-up help (local support, incubators, etc). Due to the Master of Science being taught at two sites (Bremen, Schaffhausen), students have access to both locations and become "native" in remote collaboration.
Program structure
Students must complete 120 ECTS from these modules in order to graduate.
- Technical CORE Modules: 45 ECTS
- Management Modules: 15 ECTS
- Leadership / Academic Skills Modules: 15 ECTS
- Capstone Project Module: 15 ECTS
- Master Thesis Module: 30 ECTS
Price
Fee for two semesters (1 year) is 20,000 EUR for international students.
