Program description
In today's world, knowing Spanish is crucial. It's not only for keeping and strengthening economic and cultural links with the 20 nations where Spanish is the official language, but also for understanding and respecting the culture of the more than 50 million Hispanics living in the US. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Spanish-speaking culture, literature, and language with the Spanish/Hispanic Studies program. A wide range of political, literary, cultural, and linguistic issues are covered in the electives available to students. Multimedia and technology bolster our proficiency-oriented approach by creating context-specific opportunities for practicing the target language. Experiential learning exercises frequently improve this. We strongly recommend spending some time studying in a Spanish-speaking nation.
