Program description
Graduates of this program will be prepared to assist the field of chemical engineering technology, which focuses on the creation of value through chemical conversions at all scales, from the laboratory to the optimization of entire plants. Uses range from the nuclear industry and the production of pure metals to water purification processes, the application of coatings to various materials, and the production of renewable fuels.
Learn the ins and outs of analytical chemistry, organic chemistry, nuclear physics, instrumental analysis (like chromatography and spectroscopy), process management, and sustainability through this program's hands-on learning environment and comprehensive curriculum. Our fully-stocked Analytical Instrumentation facility, in addition to process development and simulation, places a premium on hands-on experience gained by students working independently and in groups. Fundamentally, you'll learn how to handle, analyze, monitor, process, and understand the properties of a broad range of chemicals.
