Program description
This innovative program makes use of the Whitby campus's cutting-edge resources and facilities. The education program will equip students with the skills and information required to assume leadership and managerial roles within the construction sector.
In addition to developing a solid foundation in the theory, values, and methods of construction science, students will also acquire the business knowledge and leadership abilities necessary to successfully assist in the administration of construction projects through to completion. There is also a chance for them to continue studying with opportunities for 14-week field placements.
Graduates of the HBCM program will possess the fundamental knowledge needed to pursue further certifications, such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Gold-Seal Certified (GSC) by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), and the Construction Estimator Certified (CEC) by the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS). Graduates of the program will also be prepared to seek graduate work in construction management or related subjects thanks to their knowledge and abilities.
The HBCM program's graduates will be equipped to significantly impact Ontario's economic future through prosperity, sustainability, and resilience.
