Program description
There is constant coverage in the media of security breaches, data leaks, privacy lapses, and other examples of failed technology that pose a growing danger to commercial and individual data.
This full-time graduate certificate program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to harden and further safeguard such systems against attack, including expertise in network technologies, computing hardware, operating systems, and protocols. In this course, students learn to design, implement, and assess IT security solutions for protecting distributed and cloud-based as well as locally hosted processing infrastructures. In addition to teaching students how to spot different kinds of hacking and penetration attacks, this program helps them become proficient in the creation and organization of security policies and procedures to safeguard company information assets, including legal, regulatory, and governance issues.
Experts and professionals in the field teach their students in laboratories that meet or exceed industry standards.
