Program description
Most people are able to take care of themselves with regards to things like personal hygiene, mobility, food preparation, and medication, but there are some people who are unable to do so.
In all institutional, community care, and service settings, the personal support worker (PSW) is the frontline care provider whose duties center on assisting clients with their personal care and everyday living tasks.
PSWs work with clients to improve and sustain their quality of life by providing compassionate, person-centered care. Our students are well-prepared and ready for the workforce because of our committed faculty, improved curriculum, skills and certifications gained during study, and the introduction of multiple interprofessional education and simulation opportunities. Recent PSW students and alums have expressed complete happiness with our services.
