Program description

Every facet of designing, developing, producing, delivering, and utilizing completed pharmaceutical products is covered by pharmaceutical science. Through this program, you will gain knowledge about the producers, distributors, and regulatory agencies in the Canadian pharmaceutical, cannabis, and natural health product industries. You will also learn about the influence of global markets and regulatory authorities on Canadian operations.

A great deal of emphasis is focused on comprehending manufacturing, documentation, and good laboratory practices as well as quality control and quality assurance procedures. We will also examine the developing domains and prospects of biotherapeutics, cannabis, and natural health products.

Students will receive practical experience working in our labs using internal and pharmacopeia methodologies to evaluate the identity, strength, quality, safety, and purity of raw materials and final products. This will equip them to work in analytical instrumentation, microbiology, and wet chemistry labs. Studies are designed to resemble industry protocols by modeling them after real-world applications.

Students will put their knowledge and abilities to use in a 280-hour placement in a pharmaceutical company or other relevant organization during your final semester to begin their careers in this fascinating field.
