Program description
Students interested in pursuing health science-related advanced diploma or degree programs, such as the collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program offered by Durham College and Ontario Tech University (Ontario Tech), will benefit from the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees.
This two-semester program is ideal for students who want to strengthen their foundational abilities in areas like communication, mathematics, biology, general and organic chemistry, physics, and critical thinking before moving on to more advanced coursework.
In addition to introducing students to the health sciences as a field of study, the school helps them locate other academic offerings in the fields of biology and chemistry that will help them reach their professional goals.

Requirements for applicants
- Matured student status (applicants who are over 19 years old and do not have a high school diploma)
- Grade 12 English (C or U)
- English language proficiency
- Academic IELTS: 6.0, no band score less than 5.5
- IBT TOEFL: 80, with minimum section scores of 20
- PTE Academic: 53 minimum overall, no section below 49 L,W,S,R
