Program description
Do you have a flair for the arts and a love for the cosmetics business? The skills you learn in the Cosmetic Techniques and Management program will set you apart as a future leader in the cosmetics, personal care, and fragrance sectors.
Makeup for special occasions, the media, and photos, as well as period, airbrush, creative, and special effects, are just some of the cosmetic applications you'll learn to create while collaborating with seasoned instructors. Following current patterns, classes also cover how to improve the look of one's eyebrows and eyelashes.
Training in areas like color theory and skincare analysis as well as communication and customer consultations are central to the program's goal of producing competent professionals. The program is comprehensive because it targets all aspects of the rapidly expanding makeup industry, which is now worth billions of dollars. Best practices and procedures in infection control are emphasized as part of a larger effort to meet industry professional standards. In their final semester, students have the chance to work with a working photographer to build a portfolio that can be used to help them get a position after graduation.
