A small but significant percentage of Canadians, approximately 1%, are thought to have a developmental disability and could benefit greatly from the assistance of those who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others through advocacy and education.
People who work in developmental services are devoted to helping those with developmental disabilities live full, productive lives as valued parts of their communities.

Requirements for applicants
- Matured student status (applicants who are over 19 years old and do not have a high school diploma)
- Grade 12 English (C or U)
- English language proficiency
- Academic IELTS: 6.0, no band score less than 5.5
- IBT TOEFL: 80, with minimum section scores of 20
- PTE Academic: 53 minimum overall, no section below 49 L,W,S,R
