Do you have a strong desire to improve the lives of others? The curriculum for Physiotherapist Assistant and Occupational Therapist Assistant prepares you with the necessary skills for a fulfilling profession in rehabilitation that is in high demand. Working alongside occupational therapists and/or physiotherapists, you will assist people with a variety of physical, cognitive, emotional, and developmental issues in reaching their objectives. Every semester, you will participate in practical labs and complete 584 hours of field placement to acquire real-world experience that will prepare you for the workforce.

Requirements for applicants

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Mature Student Status
  • Grade 12 English (C or U)
  • Grade 11 or 12 biology (C, M or U)
  • Two additional senior level credits
  • English language proficiency
    • Academic IELTS: 6.0, no band score less than 5.5
    • IBT TOEFL: 80, with minimum section scores of 20
    • PTE Academic: 53 minimum overall, no section below 49 L,W,S,R
    • CAEL: Overall scores of 60 with no section below 60
