Program description
In order to become a member of the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), graduates must complete a program that has been approved by the LSO and then pass the LSO's licensing test. Paralegals in Ontario are specially trained to help low-income Ontarians who need legal representation in matters involving human rights, social assistance, immigration, and workers' compensation, as well as those who are embroiled in disputes with residential tenancy tribunals or who have been charged under provincial law or some provisions of the Criminal Code.
You will be the ideal legal representative for those who are challenged by the law because of your passion, integrity, and extensive skills and knowledge as a paralegal, whether you work independently, as part of a law or paralegal firm, or for a government agency.
