Program description
The undergraduate program in civil engineering aims to teach students the principles of the field, develop their creativity, and teach them how to do research, plan, design, and apply their knowledge. In addition, the department aims to produce responsible, curious, entrepreneurial, cooperative, ethical, environmentally sensitive, and competitive civil engineers.
Experts in the primary fields of structure, construction materials, geotechnics, construction management, hydraulics, and transportation comprise the staff of the Department of Civil Engineering.
The undergraduate program is made to be on par with the best programs offered by comparable universities elsewhere. One needs to be interested in and creative in disciplines like computer science, engineering, mathematics, and the environment in order to succeed in the department.
The Department of Civil Engineering provides students with the advantage of laboratories furnished with the newest technology infrastructure because the field demands both theoretical and applied abilities. The department's successful graduates may be able to find employment in a variety of construction-related fields, such as real estate or commercial construction, industrial construction, highway, motorway, airport, port, tunnel, dam, bridge, water treatment, and pump facilities.

Basic engineering courses are added to second-year courses, which are designed to help students advance their engineering abilities. Numerous elective courses, such statistics or other non-technical areas, can also help undergraduate students learn more about societal issues. Structure static, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics, hydromechanics, transportation, and basic construction are among the obligatory courses that third-year students must take. Once more, students have access to a variety of technical electives and the chance to use what they have learned in the lab. Students in their final year may enroll in electives linked to their area of interest or advanced design courses. Every graduating student must use the knowledge they have gained over their four years of study to produce and turn in a graduation project.
In exchange for the 46 courses they will study over the four-year undergraduate program, students must earn 146 credits in total. They must also complete two summer training periods before they may graduate.
