Program description
The developments in internet and mobile platforms over the past ten years have made the digital game industry extremely competitive and truly global. These days, digital games are more than just entertainment; they are a significant industry that reflects worldwide viewpoints and individual expression. These developments strengthen the necessity for educational assistance in order to produce subject-matter experts. Developing innovative game mechanics and crafting game narratives are two aspects of being a game designer.
The Faculty of Communication Sciences is home to the undergraduate program in digital game design. The other departments of visual communication design and new media and communication collaborate and coordinate their courses. This provides a multidisciplinary workspace that integrates the formation and design domains of fundamental communication sciences.
The fields of computer engineering and visual communication design converge in digital game design. The program's main objective is to provide theory and practice for every stage of game production, including concept development, idea generation, and production processes.
Graduates of the curriculum can find employment in creative sectors such as experience design, gamification, game production, game design, game programming, and playwriting. They can work in administrative positions in all associated industries and businesses. Additionally, they can work in fields including education, media, software development, marketing, advertising, and entertainment, where it is possible to create and distribute game-like content to consumers. Graduates can also launch their own production businesses that provide services to the global game design and animation industry.
