Program description
Environmental engineering is a branch of engineering that detects environmental issues and creates new tools and techniques to address and prevent them. Air and soil pollution, solid waste management, and drinking and wastewater treatment are the primary topics of interest for environmental engineers. Some of the most significant issues facing the modern world, such as climate change and sustainable development, are also of interest to environmental engineers.
The Department of Environmental Engineering's objective is to educate and teach environmental engineers who can work in both the public and private sectors, conduct research, better themselves, and put their theoretical knowledge into practice. The goal of the undergraduate environmental engineering program is to instruct students in the fundamentals of both engineering and environmental sciences. Our students' education will foster their creativity and equip them with the skills necessary to continue research, design procedures, and create solutions for the new environmental problems facing the world nowadays.
