Program description
Students having YGSs (the transition to higher education test) in the four grade kinds are accepted into the Special Education Teaching Department. Candidates for special education teaching positions should have a strong desire to deal with exceptional students and be patient. Teaching special education is currently the most important branch of the education industry.
The goal of the Special Education Teaching Department's curriculum is to produce instructors who can fulfill their responsibilities in the education of special education students and maintain adequate teaching abilities, beginning with active practices in the first year. In addition to "Field and Field Training," our department's educational program includes courses in "General Knowledge" and "Professional Teaching Knowledge." Consolidating the abilities that students learned with the practices that would be used in the field is given a lot of weight.
The courses offered by the European University of Lefke Education Faculty involve school experience and teaching practices (internships) in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus's respective educational institutions, including private schools, rehabilitation centers, and primary and secondary schools.
Teachers who specialize in special education are prepared to educate a wide range of students with exceptional needs. Graduates of this program are qualified to work as "Special Education Teachers." Our undergraduate graduates work as "Special Education Teachers" in establishments such as rehabilitation centers, guidance and research centers, private educational institutions, secondary schools, private primary schools, and state schools that are connected to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus's and Turkey's respective ministries of education. Opportunities to work at private education rehabilitation centers connected to the Ministry of Family and Social Policies (ASPB) are available to them. In addition, by earning graduate degrees, our graduates can fulfill their responsibilities as academicians and experts in related subjects at different universities.
