Program description
For professional economists, public servants, and economic consultants, the Master of Economics program is intended to meet their demand for a graduate degree. The program's goal is to give participants advanced instruction in economic theory, applied economic analysis, and quantitative techniques for analyzing economic issues and creating economic policy.
Applicants for the Master of Arts in Economics program must finish seven courses totaling twenty-one credits, in addition to a thesis and a seminar. The requirements for the thesis and seminar are credit-free. The thesis must be presented to a thesis jury for approval.
There is also a graduate degree in economics that does not require a thesis; the requirements include a project and ten courses (30 credits).
