Program description
The title "Physiotherapist" is conferred upon graduates of our four-year undergraduate curriculum. Physiotherapists are medical professionals who develop and carry out treatment plans for pain and dysfunctions resulting from diseases, injuries, congenital disabilities, movement system problems, or other conditions. Their work is crucial in enhancing health and quality of life. Through education and awareness, physiotherapists help patients take an active role in their care and teach them coping mechanisms.
Our department's undergraduate curriculum consists of 240 ECTS worth of coursework, which includes common, required, and elective courses. Apart from receiving theoretical instruction, our students will also get hands-on experience in our well-equipped laboratories and affiliated hospitals. Furthermore, they will be able to use the knowledge they have gained through summer internships. Assessment, grading, and exams are conducted in compliance with the guidelines outlined in the UFU Undergraduate Regulations.
The physiotherapy profession is growing daily in tandem with the rising need and evolving technologies for physiotherapists who have completed the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation program. Graduates of this degree can pursue employment as licensed physiotherapists or, if they so choose, continue their education at the graduate and post-graduate levels.
The diplomas of our graduates are registered by both the TRNC and the TR Ministry of Health.
