Program description
This course will provide you with a comprehensive grasp of the trades associated with new construction and building rehabilitation, from both an applied and a managerial perspective, covering carpentry techniques and new materials applications.
Students learn by doing in fully stocked labs where they may put what they've learned about green building practices into practice in the context of home renovations and new builds. The third year of the curriculum is dedicated to teaching the kind of project management expertise necessary for a career in supervision. In addition, you will gain an introduction to the business skills useful for launching and managing a construction, remodeling, or general contracting venture.
