Program description
George Brown's Theatre Arts – Performance program trains you in the core skills, practicalities, traditions, and professionalism needed to operate as a professional actor in theatre, television, and cinema.
The conservatory's hands-on instruction offers an integrated curriculum including practically all topics connected to acting. Our classical actor training focuses on voice, speech, movement, music, and dance.
George Brown has had successful mentorship programs with Soulpepper Theatre Company, Tarragon Theatre, and Theatre by the Bay for years. Students will work with a successful theatre practitioner in the final year. This relationship begins in the students' final semester and lasts a year. After graduating, mentors will meet with students at least three times. The students have enjoyed this program, and mentors have said it's rewarding to be present for them as they graduate.
