Program description
The Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Services) at the University of Toronto is a four-year business degree designed in collaboration with local financial services firms to produce graduates who can succeed in today's competitive job market. The second year of school is when students decide between focusing on Accounting or Financial Planning.
This program will equip you with the theoretical background, practical expertise, and relevant experience necessary to pursue a career in professional accounting or financial planning.

Requirements for applicants
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma with six grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses including: grade 12 (U) English and grade 12 (U) mathematics.
- A grade of at least 60 per cent in all prerequisite courses (English and math).
- An overall average of 65 per cent in six grade 12 (U) or (M) courses.
- Recommended courses: basic computer software applications and Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U).
English language proficiency
- George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 9;
- IELTS (Academic) - 6.5, minimum 6.0 in each skill band;
- TOEFL - 84 (online) minimum 21 in each skill band;
- Duolingo English Test - 115;
- MELAB - 80;
- PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
- CAEL - 60 (overall);
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
