Program description
Do you have an interest in mastering French pastry? Participate in this in-depth French pastry and culture program, where you'll first be taught by Canadian pastry masters and then have the opportunity to study and work in France.
Through this program, you will:
- Gain practical experience with some of the best French chef instructors in Canada and France.
- Gain an understanding of the history of French pastry and its traditions while also welcoming its modern innovations.
- Take advantage of our collaboration with one of France's premier pastry chef schools, École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP), well known as the world-famous Ducasse school.
- Learn about French culture firsthand by visiting vineyards, cheese factories, and outdoor markets.
- Learn your craft in prestigious kitchens such as those found in top bakeries, restaurants, and hotels.

Requirements for applicants
Admission Requirements
- diploma or bachelor's degree in Baking, Pastry Arts or Culinary Management
OR
- one-year certificate in Baking, Pastry Arts, Patisserie Apprenticeship AND a minimum one-year of relevant work experience (resumé and references required)
OR
- a diploma or bachelor's degree in an unrelated field AND a minimum of one-year full-time relevant work experience (resumé and references required)
English language proficiency
- George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
- IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
- TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
- Duolingo English Test - 105;
- MELAB - 80;
- PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
- CAEL - 60 (overall);
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
