Program description
You will receive training to satisfy the demand in the industry for fine artists and concept artists with an emphasis on entertainment through the one-year graduate certificate program in Concept Art for Entertainment. This curriculum is intended to give graduates of our Graphic Design, Game Art, and Interaction Design programs particular capabilities. The development of artistic and direction skills, such as concept art production and visual conceptualization, that are essential to success in the industry is a fundamental component of the rigorous curriculum.
You will gain knowledge of drawing techniques, art styles, and production processes through the use of stories, character profiles, and design documentation. You will create a personal portfolio while creating and overseeing the production of art for video games and motion pictures during the program. Getting this expertise will help you whether you decide to launch your own company or go into the workforce.

*Qualified applicants will be invited to complete the application questionnaire and submit a portfolio and resumé electronically. Details on these supplementary requirements will be communicated at a later date to qualified applicants, as part of the review process. Qualified applicants may also be invited for an interview.
English language proficiency
- George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
- IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
- TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
- Duolingo English Test - 105;
- MELAB - 80;
- PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
- CAEL - 60 (overall);
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
