Program description

As more companies move their data to the cloud, it is essential to their success and survival to be able to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets. In order to meet the high demand for cyber security and related IT security professionals across multiple sectors, including consulting services, finance, and healthcare, we created the one-year graduate certificate program in Cyber Security. Cyber security professionals are critical to protecting business assets in all areas of our economy.

Today's cyber security specialists need to be knowledgeable in both traditional networking and cloud-based technologies, along with having good communication skills, to keep up with the rapid advancements in technology and trends. They must also be knowledgeable about ethical hacking, legal developments, and security trends and procedures. The knowledge you'll get from this program will enable you to excel in this fascinating sector.

Requirements for applicants

Admission Requirements

Two-year college diploma or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a related field.

Two- or three-year college diploma or bachelor's degree in any field.
PLUS one year of related work experience, as evidenced by a resumé.

English language proficiency

George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
Duolingo English Test - 105;
MELAB - 80;
PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
CAEL - 60 (overall);
Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
