Program description

Students have been given a solid grounding in consumer marketing through George Brown's Sport and Event Marketing graduate certificate program for more than 25 years. In just a year, students may go from zero to hero in the boardroom by learning and honing transferable abilities in creativity and critical thinking. Students often work with professionals in their field on class assignments and projects, especially in their last semester when they organize a charity gala.

Marketing in the sports, arts, and entertainment industries, as well as event planning, financial analytics, digital marketing, and integrated marketing communications (IMC) are all part of the curriculum.

  • Application Fee - 110 CAD 
  • Incidental Fees (student ID, student association membership, etc) - 2,000 CAD 
  • Mandatory Health Insurance - 790 CAD for 1 year coverage

Requirements for applicants

Admission Requirements

  • College advanced diploma (three-year) or bachelor's degree or demonstrated relevant work experience (resumé and references required).

English language proficiency

  • George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
  • IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
  • TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
  • Duolingo English Test - 105;
  • MELAB - 80;
  • PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
  • CAEL - 60 (overall);
  • Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
