Program description
Theatre Arts - Preparation is a dynamic one-year program that prepares students for entry into theatre and media programs.
This exciting program will help you clarify your future education and career goals by developing knowledge and skills in the performance, business, and production aspects of the performing arts. This program will help you develop confidence, creativity, and fundamental acting skills for both the theatre and film/television industries by combining theory and practice. The fundamentals of inhabiting your body, script analysis, and developing your own personal brand are all covered in the courses.
Whether you want to audition for a theater or media program, become a YouTuber or influencer, or simply learn to be more comfortable with yourself, this program will help you understand yourself and how you interact with others.
Artists and teachers from the performing arts professions will teach the courses. There will be numerous opportunities to interact with Canadian artists, directors, designers, writers, and technicians.

- Incidental Fees (student ID, student association membership, etc) - 2,000 CAD
- Mandatory Health Insurance - 790 CAD for 1 year coverage
Requirements for applicants
Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- grade 12 English (C or U)
English language proficiency
- George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
- IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
- TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
- Duolingo English Test - 105;
- MELAB - 80;
- PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
- CAEL - 60 (overall);
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
