Program description
The Acting for Media curriculum includes training in areas other than film and television acting, such as acting technique, movement, voice, and script analysis. Through screen characterisation, on-camera experience, and audition etiquette and standards, students will learn to articulate themselves. Students who complete the program will have a solid understanding of the industry, including its history, structure and hierarchy, and professional standards. Workshop simulations, on-camera exercises, voice-over demos, green-screen training, and motion-capture suit training prepare students to be great actors in the field.
Because of technical improvements in the film industry, performers are being asked to play characters in novel and exciting ways. Students will gain a fundamental understanding of new technologies such as phonography and immersive environments.
Selection of Students
Enrollment is limited to ensure that each student receives adequate personal attention. Admission is competitive, depending on audition and question results. To be promoted to the next semester, you must have a minimum academic standing as well as passing grades in acting.
