Program description
The Ontario College Diploma in Community Worker is a two-year, four-semester program that integrates local and global perspectives within a multi-level understanding of the historical, social, political, economic, and systemic ways in which social issues have developed and are experienced by communities. We provide students with the critical analyses, knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to work with diverse and historically marginalized individuals and communities on a variety of issues.
The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers is currently reviewing this program for accreditation (OCSWSSW). Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the additional designation of RSSW (Registered Social Service Worker). Additional charges may apply.

Admission Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- grade 12 English (C or U)
English language proficiency
- George Brown English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program - Level 8;
- IELTS (Academic) - 6.0, minimum 5.5 in each skill band;
- TOEFL - 80 (online) minimum 20 in each skill band;
- Duolingo English Test - 105;
- MELAB - 80;
- PTE (Academic) - 54, overall minimum, 50 in each skill band;
- CAEL - 60 (overall);
- Cambridge English Exams (B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency) - 169 or more (with no individual skill below 162).
