Program description

Humber's advanced diploma program in Electronics Engineering Technology is frequently ranked as one of the most employable in the university. This curriculum expands on the skills obtained in the Electronics Engineering Technician diploma program and will prepare you to work in any field that involves electric circuits and systems.

The curriculum approaches electronic applications via the lens of system design and integration, and you will obtain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in:

  • IoT integration, connectivity and interface design, embedded microcontrollers
  • embedded and computer-based control systems
  • analog, digital, radio-frequency, and programmable electronic circuits
  • high-definition television (HDTV) and medical imaging are examples of image processing.
  • instruments used in industrial, scientific, and medical settings
  • the complete set of computer networking skills, including wireless networks
  • photonics, fiber optics, and microwaves are examples of telecommunication electronics.
  • collection and processing of signals

To ensure you are learning the most up-to-date, relevant material, we built the curriculum in partnership with an advisory council made of highly successful industry leaders. The program gives you plenty of hands-on experience designing electrical, analog, digital, and programmable circuits, as well as learning how to incorporate circuits into smart devices, industrial equipment, and consumer products. A co-op option is also available through the program.
