Program description
Humber's Graphic Design advanced diploma program trains creative and strategic designers to implement a wide range of visual communication strategies using interactive media such as online and screen, user interaction, motion design, and traditional print-based media.
You will integrate art and design to create distinctive visual communication solutions through a combination of theory and hands-on practical instruction. Explore creative strategy and design process, typography, editorial and publication design, package design, user experience (UX), user interface (UI), web design, information design, and motion design with our Graphic Design program. Furthermore, our curriculum will prepare you for your future through professional practice and entrepreneurship, giving you a well-rounded skill set for employment or freelance work.
You will be trained on industry-based skills, technology, and current design software methodologies as part of the interface and design common platform cluster (IDC). The first semester of your degree is shared with the Multimedia Design and Development program. Your exposure to various sorts of design work and common programming features will allow you to research your alternatives and select a specialization before beginning your second year of study.
