Program description

Your skill development in the practical parts of the accounting industry will be aided by Humber's Bachelor of Commerce - Accounting degree program. You will develop a foundational knowledge of various business disciplines, as well as their roles and connections.

Marketing, law, economics, operations management, ethics, human resource management, organizational behavior, financial accounting, management accounting, financial management, taxation, audit, strategic management, and statistics and quantitative analysis are some of the subjects studied.

The curriculum has a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, leadership, communication, and critical thinking.

You will have the chance to train in Humber's cutting-edge Accounting Centre, where you may learn about accounting best practices and using typical business software.

Requirements for applicants

International Academic Equivalencies:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
    • Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
    • Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber.)
    • Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above
    • Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent
  • Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed or
  • College or university transfer status

For Indian applicants one of the following:

  • All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
  • Year 12 State Board Exams with a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects
  • Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed

Note: Applicants with English and/or math scores that do not meet Humber's admission requirements are not able to request additional testing.

To be eligible you must possess the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and required courses.

English Proficiency requirements are:

  • A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
  • an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
  • CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
  • Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
  • Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
  • International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
