Program description
The Bachelor of Commerce - Healthcare Management degree program at Humber provides you with the ideal combination of core business and health-care specialty skills to launch your career in one of Canada's most interesting and fastest expanding sectors.
You will begin your studies in our program by learning core business skills such as accounting and financial management, economics, law, operations management, organizational behavior, statistics, and quantitative methodologies. Then, you'll concentrate on acquiring health-care-specific abilities that companies greatly appreciate and want. Health informatics, health data and analysis, health services organization and management, health-care financial management, population health, and policy and evaluation are among our health-care specialization courses.
This program was created in collaboration with practicing industry professionals to ensure that you acquire and practice the skills necessary to succeed in today's complicated health-care environment. You will also receive significant experience through project work that is directly related to industry, professional work experience, and a curriculum that focuses on real world and contemporary concerns in health-care administration while enrolled in the program.
After completing the program, you will be well prepared and qualified for entry-level roles in health-care management in a variety of sectors such as government, hospitals, agencies, private sector providers, and consulting.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
- Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
- Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber.)
- Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above
- Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed or
- College or university transfer status
For Indian applicants one of the following:
- All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
- Year 12 State Board Exams with a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed
Note: Applicants with English and/or math scores that do not meet Humber's admission requirements are not able to request additional testing.
To be eligible you must possess the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and required courses.
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
