Program description
The Bachelor of Commerce - International Business degree program at Humber will assist you in acquiring the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to establish a career not only in a multinational corporation but also in quick-thinking, fast-paced small- and medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors. Case studies, problem solving, modeling, and data analytics are all included in our program's balanced approach to business education. The three fundamental pillars of international business—marketing, finance, and operations—remain a strong focus throughout the course material, skill-building exercises, written assignments, and applied project work.
Business topics such as consumer behavior, micro- and macroeconomics, finance and accounting, law, marketing, and operations management form the basis of our program's first semester. You will have the chance to develop practical skills through applied projects in international business specialization courses, such as developing a comprehensive business and strategic plan to begin a business in a foreign market. You will get knowledge about conceptualizing and carrying out processes. Intercultural Communications, International Finance, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, International Marketing, International Trade Law, and Strategic Business Analytics are a few specialist courses that come to mind.
You will gain knowledge from seasoned teachers and a network of business people who offer feedback and evaluation on industry projects. The program's capstone course, International Business Project, is offered in the final semester.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent including these required courses:
- Grade 12 English (ENG4U or equivalent) minimum 65 per cent
- Grade 12 Mathematics (MDM4U, MCB4U, MGA4U, MCV4U or MHF4U or equivalent) minimum 60 per cent (Students who do not possess Grade 12U Mathematics or who have achieved a grade below 60 per cent may be considered for admission. Students will be required to complete a math equivalency course during their first semester at Humber.)
- Four Grade 12 U or M courses in addition to those listed above
- Overall minimum grade point average (GPA) 65 per cent
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed or
- College or university transfer status
For Indian applicants one of the following:
- All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
- Year 12 State Board Exams with a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed
Note: Applicants with English and/or math scores that do not meet Humber's admission requirements are not able to request additional testing.
To be eligible you must possess the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and required courses.
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
