Program description
To meet the demand for a skill set that is both expanding and in high demand, the Ontario Graduate Certificate in Artificial Intelligence with Machine Learning was created. This course is ideal for students with a background in computer science, software engineering, or programming who want to learn the basics of AI and ML. They will be able to apply these concepts to a variety of real-world problems, such as processing images, processing natural language, and making better business decisions. In addition, students will learn how to use AI technologies for data analytics and mining. Knowledge of policies, regulations, and ethics pertaining to the application of AI technology, together with proficiency in project management, communication, and teamwork, will supplement technical abilities.
Students apply what they've learned throughout the curriculum to real-world situations and complete a capstone project under the guidance of an industry professional during their last semester. Industry partners, community leaders, faculty, and peer students view the projects at an exhibition event. Through guest speakers, networking events, and applied research in partnership with industry partners, the program also offers chances to engage with a wide community and industry network.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- A bachelor's degree, advanced diploma or equivalent, preferably in Computer Programming, Software Engineering or Computer Science
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
