Program description
The Professional Accounting Practice graduate certificate program at Humber College will teach you all you need to know to start or develop in your accounting career. Acquiring expertise in all areas of accounting—financial, managerial, auditing, assurance, finance, and individual and business tax—will set you up for success in any number of accounting-related professions. Professional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as abilities in computer technology, management, problem-solving, and critical thinking, will be honed. Those who wish to earn the Chartered Professional Accounting credential but have a bachelor's degree in a field other than accounting can do so through this program. You need not have any background in accounting to do this.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent
Note: this program is not recommended for students with a degree in the accounting field.
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
