Program description
The Wireless Telecommunications graduate certificate program will get you ready for 5G. The 5G communications network will enable future advancements such as the Internet of Things, augmented reality, industrial automation, and self-driving vehicles such as drones.
You will learn how to design and manage communication system infrastructure in order to be successful in the communications business. Our program focuses on three primary outcomes: RF and optical test and measurement; IP addressing and networking; and wireless protocol and system troubleshooting.
You will learn about system testing engineering tools and equipment such as drive test tools, RF and optical test equipment, protocol analyzers, and virtualization and virtualized tools.
Students will be able to learn on some of the greatest and most up-to-date equipment available. The curriculum is kept up to date with the help of our wireless industry partners. Students use cutting-edge technology and take small classes taught by experienced faculty and industry professionals.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- A bachelor’s degree, advanced diploma or diploma in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or an Engineering-related field
For Indian applicants one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree placed in the First Division/Class, university transcripts (Consolidated Transcripts are Not Acceptable), and backlog summary
To be eligible for admission you must possess a bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma.
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
