Program description
The Electronics Engineering Technician diploma program at Humber focuses on electronic devices, control systems, and telecommunications, with a strong foundation in computer and networking engineering. The program gives you practical expertise with electrical, analog, digital, and programmable circuits. Computer programming, interfacing, local networks, radio frequency circuits, basic programmable logic controllers (PLC), industrial electronics, wired and wireless communication devices, and troubleshooting procedures will be taught by our expert instructors. You'll learn how to incorporate these circuits into smart gadgets, industrial machinery, and consumer products.
In our state-of-the-art labs, you'll also build and test circuit boards, learn electronics fabrication, program PLCs, and design embedded systems.
In our instructional environment, we use cutting-edge software and Augmented Reality (AR) devices.

Requirements for applicants
International Academic Equivalencies:
- Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum grade of four in required subjects
- Transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed or
- College or university transfer status
For Indian applicants one of the following:
- All India Senior School Certificate/Higher Secondary School Certificate
- Year 12 State Board Exams with a minimum grade of 70 or above in required program subjects.
To be eligible you must possess the equivalent of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and required courses.
English Proficiency requirements are:
- A minimum TOEFL Academic Level score of 550 (paper based) or 80 (internet based) or
- an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 5.5) or
- CAEL with an overall band score of 60 or
- Cambridge English Test with B2 First / C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency 169 (with no single subscore below 162) or
- Duolingo Language Test with score 105 and above+
- International applicants may be asked to submit an ICAS or WES evaluation.
