Program description
Humber's Computer Systems Technician - Information Technology Infrastructure and Services diploma prepares students for ICT careers. You will learn operating systems, programming, scripting, device configuration, and IT infrastructure. Program foundations include learning about your computer's hardware, software, and performance-enhancing features.
The training prepares you to install, configure, and manage Microsoft servers and many corporate Linux variations as a system administrator. Work with virtualization and network infrastructure to obtain practical skills. Because system administrators must secure data and networks, we include a cyber security course in the program. Data center technologies for SMEs will also be covered. Working with public cloud infrastructure helps you learn how to integrate it with an organization's infrastructure. Integrating cloud services and technologies for public, private, and hybrid clouds is covered.
The curriculum focuses on network and data systems security and gives you practical experience with various hardware platforms, protocols, and services. Access to cutting-edge infrastructure lets you manage web servers and apps using multiple scripting languages and deploy and support Linux and Microsoft operating systems.
Your group projects will increase your interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills. Along with your recent technical certifications, this will provide you a diverse background that will appeal to firms.
Our professors collaborate with industry partners to keep the program current. Your lecturers are experienced businesspeople with GTA connections.
